Monster.com Diversity Leadership Program






Program Name: Monster Diversity Leadership Program (DLP)

Eligibility: Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors or recent college grads who are US citizens and in good academic standing

Brief Description: "Monster is the industry leader in inspiring people to improve lives. Monster launched the Diversity Leadership Programs (DLP) in 2002 with the mission to empower college students and foster a diversity of ideas and cultures in corporate America.Each summer, the Diversity Leadership Programs help top-tier college students bridge the gap in the transition from college to entry-level career. This dynamic, energy-filled program gives students the opportunity to build life and career skills and network with industry-leading employers while forging life long relationships with other high-achieving peers.Thanks to partnerships with over 30 leading employers, this is a free program to accepted student participants."

Program Duration: 3 days, 2 nights with various dates throughout the summer depending on which location you apply to. Locations include Atlanta, Baltimore/DC, Dallas, Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Chicago.

Application Process: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis starting January. Monster has a relatively standard form that you fill out (name, address, school, etc.) that also includes a section where you can upload your resume and contact information of 2 references. On the application form, you can either specify your top 2 location choices, or select "any location" if you do not have a preference. Students usually hear back within 2 months of submitting the application.

Miscellaneous: Each conference hosts hundreds of students from schools across the country. All expenses are paid for except transportation to/from your conference location.
